Lecturer in Foundation and Vocational Studies
Join our team as a Lecturer in Foundation into Vocational Studies to support SEND and SEMH learners and achieve their potential and transform their futures every single day.
Ready to Be the Driving Force Behind Learner Success?
We’re now seeking a compassionate, driven, and skilled Lecturer in Foundation into Vocational Studies to join our dedicated team. If you’re passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, particularly those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health challenges, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact.
For over 100 years, Oaklands College has been transforming lives through inclusive, high-quality education. As we continue to grow, we’re expanding our team to reach more learners and provide the support they need to achieve their full potential.
Your Day-to-Day Impact
In this vital role, you will design and deliver personalised lessons that closely align with each learner’s Education, Health and Care Plans. You will ensure that every student receives tailored support that enables them to develop academically while feeling valued and empowered within a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
Supporting learners’ emotional wellbeing and behaviour will be a key focus of your daily work. By implementing positive behaviour strategies and providing consistent emotional support, you will help students build confidence, resilience, and independence. You will also collaborate closely with families and a network of professionals—including SENCOs, mental health specialists, and social care teams—to create a holistic support system for each learner.
Monitoring and assessing progress across academic, social, and emotional areas will inform your teaching and intervention strategies. You will set meaningful targets that reflect each learner’s potential and prepare them for successful transitions into further education, employment, or independent living by delivering essential life skills and employability education. Your commitment will have a lasting, positive impact on the futures of those you support.
Is This You?
