Oaklands College is seeking a Head Coach (Women’s Football Academy) to lead, develop, and deliver our successful academy programme. This is an exciting opportunity to combine high-level coaching with leadership and programme management, ensuring that our players excel both on and off the pitch.
As part of the Oaklands Wolves Sports Academy, you’ll play a key role in inspiring young athletes, managing player recruitment and development, and driving the continued growth of our Women’s Academy — one of the most ambitious and respected programmes in the region.

Your Day-to-Day Impact
Leadership & Coaching – Lead the Women’s Academy, delivering high-quality training sessions and fixtures that push players to reach their full potential.
Team Management – Coordinate and develop the Women’s Academy coaching staff, supporting their progression through coaching courses.
Recruitment & Growth – Oversee trials and recruitment activities in collaboration with the Assistant Coach, driving academy growth and attracting top talent.
Fixture Coordination – Manage fixtures, timetabling, and facility use across astro pitches, sports halls, gyms, and classrooms.
Safeguarding & Welfare – Ensure the wellbeing of players, staff, and volunteers, creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.
Collaboration – Work closely with the Head of Football Academy and the wider Wolves coaching team to deliver a unified, ambitious programme.
Is This You?
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated coach who thrives on leadership and player development.
You’ll bring:
FA Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football (minimum)
Relevant administrative experience to support academy operations
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A passion for women’s football and youth development
Ideally, you’ll also have:
5+ years’ experience in a similar environment (college or academy programme)
Experience coordinating a coaching team and managing workloads
A strong track record in recruitment and fixture management
Knowledge of safeguarding, equality, and health & safety in sport
And personally, you’re:
Positive, enthusiastic, and approachable
Able to lead with vision and motivate others
Flexible and solution-focused
Committed to continuous improvement and professional development
