Your Day-to-Day Impact

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic educator to join our team, someone who thrives in a learner-focused environment and is eager to make a real difference.
In this rewarding role you will be responsible for delivering high-quality courses and managing all associated administration. You’ll plan engaging lessons in advance develop supporting resources and assess student work promptly, fairly and accurately. As a personal tutor you will guide and support a group of learners offering transparent and timely academic and pastoral support while also working one-on-one with students who require additional help.
You will play a key role in tracking learner progress, setting and reviewing targets and helping students access relevant college support services. Your work will include preparing reports for external stakeholders contributing to meetings and college events and assisting with internal verification processes to maintain quality standards.
A strong attention to detail is essential as you’ll be expected to accurately complete registers monitor attendance and achievement data and respond appropriately. Upholding college policies—particularly in safeguarding, health and safety, equality, and diversity—is vital, alongside a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Qualifications
- Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (or willingness to work towards)– Desirable
- Relevant qualification in Health and social care – Essential
- English & Maths at Level 2 or above – Essential
Experience
- Experience in teaching Chemistry modules for post 16 - Essential
- Relevant industry/sector experience - Desirable
- Background in working with post-16 age group – Desirable
