An exciting opportunity has arisen at Oaklands for a Lecturer in Electrical and Electronics Engineering to provide high-quality teaching and learning across our Engineering programmes from Level 2 to Level 5.

Your Day-to-Day Impact
Exciting Opportunity: Become a Key Lecturer and Inspire Learners!
We are looking for a passionate and committed Lecturer to join our team and play a crucial role in delivering outstanding teaching and mentoring to our Engineering students. In this position, you will:
- Deliver and assess specialist units in Electrical and Electronic Principles, PLCs, Microcontrollers, Process Control, Electronic Measurement and Testing and industrial electrical systems.
- Develop schemes of work, lesson plans and engaging teaching materials to support student learning.
- Monitor learner progress, set meaningful targets and provide high-quality personal tutoring support.

You will also be responsible for:
- Ensuring compliance with quality standards and college policies
- Contributing to curriculum development and departmental initiatives
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree, apprenticeship or substantial industrial experience in electrical or electronic engineering.
- Strong technical knowledge of Electrical and Electronic Principles, PLCs, Microcontrollers, Measurement and Testing and industrial control systems.
- Experience (or willingness to train) in teaching and assessment within Further/Higher Education.
- A recognised teaching qualification or commitment to gaining one
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire learners of all backgrounds
