We are looking for a proactive and compassionate Residential Student Support & Enrichment Officer to provide pastoral care, promote student wellbeing, and help deliver exciting enrichment activities outside of teaching hours. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to students living on campus while helping them build independence, confidence, and positive relationships.
About the Role
In this role, you will support residential students during evenings and weekends, ensuring their welfare, safety, and overall wellbeing. You’ll be a visible and approachable presence within the accommodation, monitoring students and responding to any issues while fostering a respectful and inclusive community.
You’ll also help organise and deliver a range of engaging evening and weekend enrichment activities, helping students develop socially, culturally, and personally while living away from home.
Key Responsibilities
Provide evening residential support to students living in college accommodation
Conduct curfew checks and monitor student presence in accommodation as required
Record and report incidents and welfare concerns accurately
Maintain student records and complete positive action checklists aligned with care standards
Monitor and report health, safety, and fire safety concerns
Support students in living and learning together respectfully in line with college rules
Help plan and deliver enrichment activities and events during evenings and weekends
Promote positive behaviour and respectful conduct among students
Assist during emergency situations, including evacuations due to severe weather or power outages
