Inspire future leaders at Oaklands College, delivering engaging training and coaching that helps learners earn qualifications and grow their careers.
Professional Trainer - Leadership and Management
Ready to inspire the next generation of leaders and managers?
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Oaklands College for an enthusiastic and experienced Professional Trainer specialising in Leadership and Management. As part of our growing Professional Training provision, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality training, coaching, and assessment to learners, helping them develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours needed to achieve recognised qualifications and progress in their careers.
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting learners throughout their professional development journey while contributing to the continued growth and success of Oaklands’ training and development offer.
Your Day-to-Day Impact
As a Professional Trainer, you will take ownership of the learner journey from enrolment through to achievement. You will deliver engaging and effective leadership and management training using a variety of delivery methods, including face-to-face sessions, online learning, and employer-based training.
You will design learning experiences that meet learners' individual starting points and aspirations, ensuring all learners are supported to achieve their goals. Through regular progress reviews and coaching conversations, you will monitor learner development, set clear targets, and help learners stay on track to complete their qualification within agreed timescales.
Assessment will form a key part of your role. You will assess learner work against qualification standards, provide constructive feedback, and develop action plans that support continuous improvement. You will also maintain accurate assessment records and ensure all documentation is completed in line with quality assurance requirements.
Supporting learners both academically and pastorally will be central to your success. You will identify and address barriers to learning, create individual learning plans, and provide information, advice, and guidance on progression opportunities.
Working closely with colleagues across the Professional Training team, you will contribute to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. You will ensure all delivery and assessment activities meet awarding organisation requirements, Ofsted expectations, and Oaklands College quality standards.
You will also actively engage in continuous professional development, ensuring your subject knowledge and training practice remain current and relevant to industry needs.
