Employer Engagement Executive - Professional Training
Ready to be the driving force behind employer partnerships and learner success?
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Oaklands College for a proactive and professional Employer Engagement Executive to support the growth and success of our Professional Training provision. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining strong relationships with employers, industry partners, recruitment organisations, and community stakeholders, helping to create opportunities that support learner recruitment, progression, and employment outcomes.
Working closely with curriculum, recruitment, and delivery teams, you will ensure our programmes remain responsive to employer needs and aligned with workforce demands. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to Oaklands College's ambitious plans for professional training and development while building meaningful partnerships that make a real difference to learners, businesses, and the wider community.
Your Day-to-Day Impact
As an Employer Engagement Executive, you will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with employers, industry stakeholders, recruitment agencies, and community organisations to support the growth of the Professional Training provision.
You will proactively identify and develop new employer partnerships, expanding Oaklands College's network and creating opportunities for collaboration. Through regular engagement with employers, you will develop a strong understanding of current and future workforce skills needs, enabling you to identify suitable training solutions and promote programmes that meet organisational objectives.
A key element of the role involves developing effective referral pipelines with employers and partner organisations, helping to increase learner recruitment and achieve enrolment targets. You will work closely with businesses to create employment and progression opportunities for learners, including interviews, vacancies, employer introductions, industry engagement activities, and pathways into further training or employment.
You will represent Oaklands College at employer meetings, networking events, careers fairs, recruitment events, industry forums, and stakeholder meetings, acting as a professional ambassador for the College and strengthening its reputation within the business community.
Working collaboratively with internal teams, you will contribute to employer engagement and learner recruitment campaigns, helping to raise awareness of the Professional Training offer. You will also gather employer feedback and labour market intelligence to support the ongoing development and continuous improvement of programmes, ensuring they remain relevant and responsive to industry needs.
Maintaining accurate records will be an important aspect of the role. You will use College systems and CRM platforms to monitor employer engagement activity, track referrals and opportunities, and support reporting requirements. In addition, you will help employers understand funded training opportunities and eligibility requirements, ensuring appropriate programmes are promoted to individuals and organisations that can benefit from them.
